Our trip started with a trip to Fenway Park to take a hour long tour.  Well, the tour was only 30 minutes and we weren't able to go on the field (well, I was able to but you can read that further down), however, I eavesdropped on a lady behind us and got 4 tickets (face value) to the game that night right up against the Green Monster.  "Hey, it's the guy who took our A-Fraud signs back in April!!!"  There is a picture on the right of the Red Sox HOF. We ended up taking a little detour on our way to Quincy Market to get some change at a local 7-Eleven to ride the subway.

After walking around for awhile when we got off the subway, Jon finally asked a Bostonian for directions to Quincy Market.  Quincy Market is Boston at it's finest.  From shops, to places to eat, street entertainers, Paul Revere/Samuel Adams look-alikes, and buildings from America's history, there is something for everyone there.  We visited Cheers, the Red Auerbach Statue, and even Larry Bird's shoes.    We ate where Pedro ate, "Slugglers"!!!   LOL  And special kudos to the street entertainer who chopped off A-Rod's head!!!

We then preceded to visited the Holocaust Memorial.  There were 6 large glass towers to remember the 6 million Jews that were murdered during this time. Each tower was engraved with thousands and thousands of numbers to represent those who died.
We were then off to visit and find Paul Revere's house.  On the way, we came across the Freedom Trail and followed that.  Here are some pictures from our trip over to his house.  The first is an old street in Boston right on the Trail.

At first we didn't find his house, but we did find the "Paul Revere Mall" and an "old school" cemetery dating back to the 1600's.
We then ran into the North Church.  This is where the lanterns were put on so the colonist knew whether the British were coming by land or by sea.  (one by land, two by sea)  We came across the pew owned by Revere's son and a plague stating the Charles Wesley preached in that church in 1736. After visiting the church, we found a map and saw that if we follow the 2 bricks (look at the 2 pictures), we would be walking along the "Freedom Trail" taking us to Revere's house.

(The Freedom Trail in Boston, Massachusetts, was conceived in 1958 by local journalist William Schofield. He had the idea that the historic sites of Boston could be made more accessible to residents and visitors. It begins at the Boston Common and winds its way through downtown Boston, the North End and Charlestown ending at the Bunker Hill Monument. It tells the story of America's first patriots as they fought for freedom against the royal army.  The trail is marked by a red line painted on the sidewalk or, in some places, red brick or granite paving stones mark the way. Following the 2.5-mile trail you can visit 16 historic sites. You should allow most of a day to walk the trail and visit the sites along the way.)

Here is Paul Revere's house and neighborhood.

Since we were too cheap to pay the $3 to go inside the house, we then headed back down the Freedom Trail back to Quincy Market to see Faneuil Hall and to see the spot of the Boston Massacre.  We noticed that most of the restaurants over there have very large windows that open up so the entire front of the restaurant is open.

Here is the Feneuil Hall.

Finally, we made it to the Old State House and site of the Boston Massacre.

The day would not have been complete without our trip to see our beloved Red Sox.  We walked around Fenway for awhile trying to find a way to sneak Jon's video camera in.  We weren't going to tape the game, we just didn't plan on originally going so he brought it.  In the 4th pic, the silver Mercedes belongs to Pokey Reese and the black one is owned by Tim Wakefield.

Here are some pics from before the game.  I was able to sneak out on the field for a whole 5 seconds before getting yelled at.  Former BoSox catcher Bob Montgomery was signing free autographs before the game in "Autograph Alley".

"Who is throwing those peanuts?"  "There is a pole in front of me!!!"  LOL  Our Sox treated us to a great win in the bottom of the ninth against the Toronto Blue Jays.  Watching Pedro Martinez pitch capped our great day in Boston.

(everyone together)
....Hands, touchin' hands
